Made it through to the other side(!) and thought someone ought to start the ball rolling for Lesley.

Hope you get validated asap and bring us up to date with your news (and Desmond's!). Meanwhile lots of love and prayers for your continued recovery.

Love Dylan x

Made it! It's like trying to Disapparate, or beam up, or something. But I'm in now, and waiting for news about Lesley and Desmond. And chocolate.

I worked out a long time ago that chocolate is one of the proofs of the existence of God...

I'd say yes, but then I worry about panentheism!

Don't you think Fair Trade chocs must be doubly inspired?

I'm told the calories in fair trade chocolate don't count. Sort of transubstantiation in reverse!

So, pass the fairtrade chocolate around guys - I need something after the effort of trying to get in here Where is the lovely lady of the forum? And where is the small cuddly Desmond?

Dear all,

I've finally made it through to the new forum

Desmond and I are still dining happily on chocolate porridge and the weight loss continues (equally happily).

Weighed at hospital on monday and I seem to have lost about 9.5lbs since the operation. I think most of it is in hair

I'm waiting for the radiotherapy prep. to start - they need to make a mask which is then screwed down to the table so that my head is absolutely still....good job I'm not claustrophobic, then?

Feeling especially browned off today - but am going back to one of my jobs next week - GP or no - I can't sit around here much longer - I'm going stir crazy..... I just hope the rest of the stiches have come out by then. I still have some left and look like the bride of Frankenstein if you look too closely.

Desmond has the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes - matches his favourite thing in life. He's sitting on the desk with me and says to say "Hello" to everyone.

I've got to go and write a sermon for Sunday and one for next Wednesday as well (Church Plant), then look at one for the following Sunday..... ><> ><> ><> - concentrating is still a bit of a problem.....but hopefully it won't be as difficult as the last one was.........

Things do seem to be getting better slowly: who knows, I might even be able to work on my Ph.D. again soon?

Meanwhile, I'm off to see Matthew on work placement!

God bless,

With love as ever,

Lesley xx (and Desmond)

Just for today, dear Lord, let me realise that there is nothing that we cannot handle together - and may I pray the same prayer tomorrow.....
