Chelmsford CHESS is local Christian charity providing emergency accommodation for homeless people, "move-on" accommodation to help those who are making their ways back to having homes of their own, a Day Centre for homeless and other vulnerable people and various support services and activities. It is supported by local churches and individual Christians of various denominations.

Greetings all.

I am verger at St. George's Church, Tombland, Norwich, just across the road from the Anglican Cathedral. As you will see we are often open in the mornings, I am usually in church, doing the cleaning, on Thursday and Saturday mornings from about 9 till 12.30. I would be pleased to give you a '5 minute potted tour' if you come in.

We are at present striving to collect finances to pay for our new toilet and kitchenette so after Easter we hope to be able to offer a coffee and relief. Also shortly we hope to refurbish our sad and broken clock.

Please, come in and visit a friendly, city, high church which will welcome you.

This is my church at the moment, and has been for four years since I moved here. A little different to the parish churches I used to belong to in East Anglia, but not quite the same as an English cathedral either.

There's a mixture of formal worship and drop-in hospitality, ministry happens in various corners and we have a lot of visitors wanting to look around.

This is the website of the church where my Dad was the Minister for many years.

It's just started a year of centenary celebrations and even though the design of the site is not my cup of tea, it is a very informative site, and demonstrates how a church with its own, and external, groups and associations can share the one site to promote all its activities.
